At Deception Bay Flexible School, we use four core principles (rather than a big list of rules) to guide how we learn, work and relate to one another as a community.

These principles provide a simple and shared foundation for decision-making, relationships and learning.
We think they help create a community where everyone feels valued, supported and able to thrive.
By embracing these principles, young people are encouraged to take responsibility for their actions, contribute positively to the school community and develop the skills and confidence needed for life beyond school.
We encourage all members of our community, including young people, staff and families, to live out these principles each day, as we believe they are essential for building positive relationships, making responsible choices and achieving personal success.
